Riley
Nurse Manager
Riley grew up in the foothills of Adelaide, surrounded by many pets and Australian wildlife. This is what first sparked her passion for helping animals. From fairy penguins on Kangaroo Island to lions in South Africa, Riley has been fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of wild, captive and domestic animals.
After studying her Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour (Honours), Riley worked with native Australian animals in a captive wildlife park setting. Riley joined the Eastside Veterinary Clinic team in 2021. She is currently studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is due to complete this in 2024.
Riley is especially interested in all aspects of feline medicine, and is passionate about creating stress-free visits for feline patients. A true lover of wildlife, you can also often find Riley caring for injured wildlife, and she is known to take a few lizards home for rehabilitation.
Her favourite part of vet nursing is witnessing the human-animal bond between owners and pets, which she describes to be “magical”.
Outside of work, Riley enjoys reading, going to craft fairs, and spending time with her husband and her clowder of cats.
