Emma Kirby
Physiotherapist
Emma is registered as an Animal & Human Physiotherapist having graduated with a Bachelor of Human Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 1998. This was followed by a two year postgraduate Master of Animal Physiotherapy degree through the veterinary and physiotherapy departments at the University of Queensland. She graduated in 2004 and was one of the first sixteen physiotherapists in Australia to gain a Master of Animal Physiotherapy.
Emma has a passion for all animals, sports and the outdoors. She is particularly interested in treating dogs and horses, including those involved in competitive and sporting pursuits. She has been involved with behavioural training, sled dog racing, agility, eventing and endurance riding with her horses and dogs.
Emma enjoys the rewarding and varied work with animals, offering manual hands-on physio and exercise-based rehab, treating conditions such as sporting injuries, post-surgical rehab, arthritis and ageing, developmental conditions, movement and biomechanical issues, and spinal conditions.
When not working as a physio, Emma spends time with her family, her Australian Koolies and horses, trail running, camping and kayaking.
